When it comes to wind and weather, the conditions in Lofoten can be varied and change in an instant, so you will surely have an authentic fishing experience. Local fishermen must go out to the sea no matter the weather. The experienced crew knows these waters like the back of their hand, and will always be ready to help if you manage to catch a large cod and need to pull it out of the water.
The fish you catch is yours to bring home. We can help you fillet it on board, so it is ready for you to cook when you are back on shore.
The many fishing villages in Lofoten testifies the importance of fishing in the region. For centuries, life here has revolved around the sea and what it can provide. The sea is rich in fish no matter the season, but January to April is the high season. This is when the Arctic cod migrates from the north to spawn in the waters in the Vestfjord outside Lofoten and draws both Norwegian and international fishermen to the region to work on fishing boats.
