Arvid Notland is a fromager (cheese sommelier) with training from the Academy of Cheese in England. He is more than passionate about cheese and works full-time searching for the best varieties while sharing his enthusiasm. With us, he conjures up incredible cheeses from both rural and urban areas and, together with Kvestad Sideri, will guide you through a unique journey of authentic Norwegian flavors.

Kvestad Sideri is nestled beneath the Folgefonna glacier in Hardanger, at an airy 220 meters above sea level. The family has been growing apples and producing cider here for generations. Kvestad’s cider has received widespread acclaim – the well-established “1808” from Kvestad was awarded the prize for the best modern Norwegian cider, and last year, Merete Bø highlighted “Adelstein” as the best Norwegian cider she had tasted in a long time.
