Purpose of processing
We collect and process personal data about you for the following purposes:

- To enter into a contract with you for the use of our services

- To analyze booking patterns and behavior in order to improve our services, availability, and digital platform (website, booking, social media, chat, email).

We store this information for up to 5 years to comply with Norwegian accounting and financial reporting laws. We may also retain the information for longer than 5 years if there are outstanding payments or active legal disputes.
Business-to-Business customer data
As part of our business operations, we store data about our customers in order to fulfill the contract concluded with the customer and to comply with legal requirements. In addition, we store information about our relationships with our partners to provide better service.
We process and store the following personal information about our business customers
- Name
- Company affiliation
- Job title
- Phone number
- Mailing address (of the company)
- List of booked products
- Travel time
- Email correspondence regarding bookings, contracts, and other legal matters
- Payment information
- Records of purchases made and payment status
We store this information for up to 5 years to comply with Norwegian accounting and bookkeeping laws. We may also retain the information for longer than 5 years if there are outstanding invoices or active legal disputes.
Newsletter recipients
We send newsletters to everyone who has signed up to receive information about our products and special offers. We process the following information:
- Name
- Company affiliation
- Position/Title of the person
- Email address.
Subscription to the newsletter is based on consent. We delete this information when someone unsubscribes from the newsletter; the information is not used for other purposes.
Retention periods
We store your personal data for as long as there is a legal obligation to do so or to provide you with services according to our contract. For accounting or auditing purposes, we may also retain your personal data for a certain period after the end of our direct business relationship.
We are legally obligated to retain any data related to financial transactions for up to 5 years, in accordance with Chapter 5 of the Norwegian Accounting Act (Bokføringsloven).
Data storage and transmission
We store your personal data on systems located within the European Economic Area (EEA), which includes members of the European Union, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein. Your data may be stored on servers located outside the European Economic Area (EEA). We have valid and enforceable data processing agreements with all subcontractors who process personal data on our behalf, including those located outside the EEA. The data processing agreements ensure that our subcontractors are obliged to adhere to the same standards as prescribed by European data protection law. We may share your personal data with companies within the Norway's Best AS group (including The Fjords DA and Flåm Utvikling) as well as with other partners or suppliers.

Accounting – Our partners who process financial information including payments, transactions, and accounting data to comply with our legal requirements according to accounting and financial reporting laws.

When we collect and process personal data about you, you have a number of rights, including: the right to request access to your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, and the right to object to the processing of your personal data.
