Explore Trollfjorden from Svolvær

The Trollfjorden is a picturesque 2-kilometer-long and only 100-metres-wide fjord, surrounded by mountains rising up to 1100 metres above the sea level. The only way to access Trollfjorden, beside a long and streneous hike, is by boat.

During the trip we will make some short stop at small islands and bays. In addition, there are great chances to experience sea eagles up close. Your guide will share their knowledge about the area and the wildlife along the way.

We can recommend the safari to Trollfjorden in most weather conditions and it is suitable for the whole family. Even on windy days with waves, customers find it fun as the RIB we use are very stable.

The dramatic scenery of the area will impress everyone!

RIB-safari in Trollfjord, fishermen-battle

A peculiar battle

Trollfjord was the scene of a very unusual battle between fishermen which took place in 1890. The fjord was especially rich with cod, which lured modern fishermen with steam vessels to the area. Eventually they decided to try to cut off the traditional fishing boats in order to keep all the fish for themselves. The old fishermen, on the other hand, took up the fight. Learn how the battle ended during the safari trip.
