The region's most modern conference center
At Fretheim Hotel, we accommodate all types of courses, meetings, and conferences. Our new conference center, which opened in June 2021, is the most modern in the area, and complements our historical section that is adjacent. Here you will find meeting rooms suitable for groups ranging from 9 to 180 people, all with modern facilities and well-equipped for video conferences and hybrid meetings.
The new grand hall features a striking glass facade. The hall can be divided into two, with space for up to 70 people in each. The VIP room accommodates 16 people in a boardroom setting. Here one gets that little extra, including a private coffee machine that offers milk-based coffee varieties. In the mingling area, there is always fresh coffee, tea, and water available, both still and sparkling.
The Fretheim Hall, located nearby, is part of the hotel's historic buildings, and has long been a popular venue for everything from larger conferences to wedding celebrations and other social gatherings. Green conference
Flåm's central location along the E16, situated between the old Hordaland and Sogn og Fjordane counties, makes it an ideal gathering place. For those concerned with the environment, the easy train access from Bergen and Oslo is a significant advantage. Of course, there are also charging stations available at the hotel parking lot.
We take sustainability seriously, and Fretheim Hotel has been certified as an Eco-Lighthouse since 2006 and a certified provider of Green Conference since 2018. This imposes a number of requirements on us that we adhere to in everything from ordering supplies and coffee to waste management.
Focusing on organic food, less consumption of red meat, and menus adapted to the seafood guide by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) are part of the guidelines. Our excellent kitchen practices sustainability daily. Our food philosophy is based on clean, local ingredients in season, collaboration with local producers, and the continuation of traditions. You will see and taste this during a conference with us!
Combine meeting and activity
Once you're in Flåm, you should also experience the spectacular nature around. Spend a day cycling the Rallarvegen from Finse to Flåm or challenge your colleagues with an adrenaline rush at Flåm Zipline followed by a bike ride back to Flåm.
If you desire something extra between the meeting and dinner, it is possible to reserve a private area on the all-electric boat that sails between Flåm and Gudvangen and enjoy an aperitif while taking in the view of the beautiful Nærøyfjord.
