The Flåm Valley by train, zipline & bicycle
The first thing you should do is to explore the Flåm Valley, which is best known for the iconic train ride with the Flåm Railway and as the last leg of the popular cycling route Rallarvegen. Both train and cycle are off course included, and in addition you also get to try Scandinavia's longest zipline, Flåm Zipline. This tour is what we can call a real kinder egg.

Hike the Aurlandsdalen valley from Østerbø
Known as the Grand Canyon of Norway, the Aurlandsdalen valley is a bucket list for everyone interested in great outdoor experiences. The tour starts at Østerbø, approx. 45 minutes’ drive from Flåm. The trail follows the valley along the sparkling blue river, past small settlements, and below waterfalls plunging out from the tall mountains above. The hike from Østerbø down to Vassbygdi is 20 kilometres and is easy to find. It is not suitable for the youngest, but older children who are used walking in rugged terrain can make this hike.
Make sure to book tickets for the bus from Flåm to Østerbø with return from Vassbygdi in advance.
Après-hike at Fjord Sauna
Back in Flåm, the perfect après-hike awaits by the quay. Bring your swimwear, towels, and something to drink and kick back at Fjord Sauna. For the next two hours you have the floating sauna to yourself and can switch between refreshing baths in the Aurlandsfjord and enjoying the steaming hot sauna inside. When you have had enough of bathing and sweating, walk back to the hotel in time for dinner.

End your stay with a relaxing fjord cruise...
After two active days, it is time for a relaxing ending to your escape in Flåm. Embark on Fjord Cruise Nærøyfjord and let the electric engine take you through the Aurlandsfjord and the Nærøyfjord. The last one is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List because of its untouched nature. Sail silently past small roadless farms and villages and look up at the majestic mountains framing the fjord. You can move around between the modern vessel’s walkways and decks outside or sit inside one of the two spacious lounges with panoramic windows inside. Arriving in Gudvangen, take the shuttlebus back to Flåm.
