Unique accommodation in Tråfjosen
In Myrkdalen, you can spend the night in an old barn, surrounded by history and beautiful nature, summer and winter.
Information
In the forest below the Storhaugekspressen in Myrkdalen lies Tråfjosen, a barn where cows on summer pasture were gathered and milked in the old days. The barn has been empty for over forty years, but now it is being used again as a unique accommodation for people who want to experience something out of the ordinary.
The window, seen from the outside, is the only indication that the barn has been transformed into a unique accommodation that you can enjoy all year round.
The stalls where the cows were milked are still intact, with fine stone slabs separating one stall from another. At the south end is a module with sleeping space for three adults or two adults and two children. To enter, you must crawl through a round opening.
The room is lit by daylight flooding in from the particular bay window, which provides a magnificent view over the valley.
