Light Fest in the Fairytale Forest
Join the Light Fest in the Fairytale Forest on January 31! Be ready for a magical evening with free hot dogs, an outdoor disco, and an extra atmospheric skiing experience.
About the event
Finally, the rest of the lighting installation in the Fairytale Forest is complete, and we’re celebrating with a Light Fest during this otherwise dark season!
Do you have a costume you can wear while skiing? Maybe you have some cool light effects at home that you can attach to your skis or wear around your neck? Come as you are, or let your creativity run wild! Feel free to bring a headlamp if you have one.
There will be free hot dogs and an outdoor disco with DJ Agnete and Naia! In addition, there will be storytelling about the lights in Eventyrskogen and what the different colors represent.
No registration is needed - just show up! The event is free, but a lift pass for night skiing is required.

Mountain Sauna
Mountain air is an experience in itself – fresh, pure and filled with rejuvenating energy. But it's also cold, making a hot room with beautiful mountain view a perfect escape. Let the heat relax your body, while you gaze out the window, taking in the scenery.
From Mountain to Fjord
When you're in Myrkdalen, you're just a short trip away from some of Norway's most spectacular fjords. Give your ski legs a rest and enjoy a cruise on the UNESCO-protected gem, Nærøyfjorden, or take the legendary Flåm Railway – one of the most beautiful train rides in the world.
Finn's Snow Club
Every Saturday from December 21 to March 29, children can join in on fun and games in the Barnebakken at Finn's Snow Club
Guided Snowshoe Hike to the Wilderness Camp
Join us on an idyllic snowshoe trip through the snow-covered landscape in Myrkdalen. We put on our snowshoes at Myrkdalsstovo and walk into the lavvu at the wilderness camp in Årmotslia. Here, we gather around the bonfire in the lavvu and enjoy warm drinks, snacks, and storytelling about Norwegian culture and traditions before we return to Myrkdalen.
