October 31 – November 2, we warmly welcome you to a cozy weekend in Myrkdalen. Enjoy a relaxing time indoors, knitting in great company with fellow knitting enthusiasts!
Knitting Weekend is back
Save the date! Just as the November chill begins to creep in, there’s no better time to head indoors and enjoy some cozy moments in the mountains. Like last year, we’ve tailor made a weekend program for everyone who loves knitting!
This is the 9th edition of our popular knitting weekend, and as always, it will be filled with inspiring workshops, talks, exhibitions – and of course: the much-loved knitted fashion show with prize draws, hosted by wonderful Astrid Norekvål Tillung.
This year’s theme: Sustainability
This year we are focusing on reuse, redesign, and making the most of leftover yarn! To help give us a push toward more mindful making, Kari Traa will join us to share her thoughts on how she finds joy in turning something old into something new – and how small changes can have a big impact, even in the world of knitting.
Staying the whole weekend? Bring a hand-knitted garment you no longer use and sell it at our second-hand rack! All items must be handmade, clean, and in good condition.
Concert: Frida Amundsen
On Saturday, singer Frida Amundsen will join us for an intimate concert filled with beautiful songs.
The full program will be announced soon – but one thing is certain: there will be knitting, chatting, and laughter! We look forward to sharing experiences, making new connections – and maybe even learning a secret knitting trick or two. Bring your current project or get inspired to start something new.
Food and entertainment are included in the ticket price. And for a great price, you can add a stay in a comfy hotel bed – with breakfast, of course.
